Robert R. Hotchkiss is pleased to release two new books, available for sale on Amazon!
"The Most Famous Quotation" Is the sixth in a series of Picture Storybooks for Children.
It is the tale of a disenchanted San Francisco Attorney named Trevor Novikoff, who leaves a successful law practice to see the world and experience life. In the course of his travels, he journeys to a blank spot on a map surrounded by mountains, deep in the Bavarian Alps. Trevor discovers the lost Kingdom of Quotus, a strange place where the citizens (known as 'Quotations') are mandated by law to only speak in quotes! He meets Carry, a pretty flower seller, and together they set out to expose the corruption of the Royal Treasurer, Count Lucre. Will Trevor and Carry be able to free the citizens from the oppressive taxes levied by Count Lucre?
"The Empath" is a Murder Mystery Pyschological Thriller, with a target audience of about 17 and up. (Definitely NOT a children's bedtime story book!)
The title character in the story is a young woman named Cassandra Bell. She is both blessed and cursed by her hypersensitivity to the world around her. Cassandra can touch an object worn by or that belonged to another person and see the recent past events that occurred in that person's life. Her gifts were imbued when her mother unknowingly participated while pregnant with Cassandra in a clinical trial for an experimental drug called Clairceptrin, which is designed to enhance clairvoyant and other psychic abilities.
It makes Cassandra a child prodigy, but at great cost. She struggles with the weight of her emotionally exhausting interactions at school.
Cassandra is greatly helped by a psychiatrist named Dr. Elias Hart, who helps teach her several coping mechanisms.
Dr. Hart goes on to take a position as head of criminal psychology and profiling with the local FBI Field office in New York City.
A series of brutal serial murders paralyzes the city with fear, and Dr. Hart asks Cassandra for her help in stopping the killer (known as 'The Wraith' because he leaves no evidence behind and disappears without a trace).
Will Cassandra be able to help stop the Wraith, or will she become his next victim?
