The Stone Giver is a story about a wise and inspired elderly man who picks up small flat stones on his mountain hikes, takes them home, washes them, and paints images on them and various words of hope and affirmation, and leaves them along the mountain trails to be found by those who need them most.

It is the stories of the people who find the stones, and who make dramatic changes in their lives for the better; a widower, a runaway, an Iraqi war Veteran with PTSD, a father struggling to balance work with the demands of being a part-time father, a corporate executive that has lost the joy in her life,  a recovering alcoholic, a mother grieving the loss of her child, a singer-songwriter who is about to give up on his dreams, an immigrant struggling to find her place in a new country, a scientist seeking kindness in an unkind world, a miner trapped deep in a coal mine shaft after a cave-in, a woman struggling to break free from an abusive relationship, and more.
